Happy New Year

We came up to Cottonwood last night to ring in the 2009. Rodney had dinner ready when we arrived. He made a delicious Roast in the slow cooker with potatoes on the bottom with some fresh steamed broccoli and homemade baked macaroni and cheese. The recipe was Lisa's mother. It was great comfort food. We had some good wine. After dinner some guys from Pio Pico came over Bill and Dave. We enjoyed visiting with them. They left this morning to head back to California. Today, Ron and I relaxed after the four of us took a long walk around camp. Ron and Rodney walked all the way to the top of the hill. The walk is all up hill to the entrance. Dennis and I took another path. After our walk we came inside and took a nap. What a relaxing day. This is a great way to begin the new year. For New Years dinner we will have Prime Rib, Red Potatoes, Steamed cauliflower and a salad. Ron put the Prime Rib on the BBQ. We of course will have some good wine from Alcantara. Alcantara is a small winery which is just down the road from camp. http://www.alcantartavineyard.com/ We are enjoying our last weekend at Thousand Trails for awhile. They are not having on-site storage anymore. We are disappointed, but that makes us us our coach to other locations. This weekend Ron and I will be making our schedule to where we will be going this year. May 2009 be a happy, healthy, prosperous year for everyone.
