So much has happened since my last blog...

Amazing two months have passed since I last blogged. In April we drove our Polaris rangers up to Crown King. It was a 99 miles ride that took us 9 hours to comment. Terry, Jo Ellen, Cari and Randy joined us on our adventure. We drove over terrain that was unbelievable. We saw a normal Toyota truck driving through this road. There is only one road in and one road out, plus no place to turn around and head back. I wanted to do this ride for a long time. Done it once have not desire to do it again. We RV at Lake Pleasant RV Park. It is one of the nicest parks we have stayed at in a long time. Each site is divided by a chain link fence, patrolled on a regular basis.

The first night Jo Ellen told us they had a Fish Fry at the floating restaurant. We believed her and all loaded up and drive the Polaris to the dock. The wind was blowing and quite chilly. Ron lead us along the dock. The dock was rocking back and forth water splashing up onto the dock. The water was making it hard to not slip on the dock. Arrived at the end to be greeted by a locked gate. Greeted by a bouncer "Are you members?" There will be a cover charge of $5.00 each. We decided we would go into the restaurant. The menu had a hamburger for $11.95 and the cheapest thing was chips and salsa for $5.00. We all had a drink and chips/Salsa and left. No one asked us for our cover charge.

The next weekend we decided to put our house on the market to sell. Ron and I don't need such a big house with both of the girls are not going to be living at home. Taylor decided to live with one of her girl friends in Tempe. Carlie will be moving out the first weekend in July with her new room mate. Our lives are starting to really change.

The last several months we have been looking at some diesel pushers. We have found two we really liked and wanted to buy. Unfortunately the banks are not lending to motor homes. We are happy with what we have for now.

We took the motor home up to White Mountain Sunrise Park last weekend. Ron lead the drive and I followed in the Jeep. It took us three hours to arrive. We got everything set up and Joe and Virginia came to visit. It was like catching up with family. The park is extremely empty. Saturday morning John and Caroline came over for a few hours and visited. We went for a ride into the forest. It was nice to see some new growth. We turned a corner and in the meadow there was a heard of wild horse and colts. There was about 10 of them. What a site to see! After our ride we took a nap. Went outside and our neighbors came over to visit. There names were Nancy and Terry. They have been RV for the last 15 years. They shared there stories about been camp host. We learned allot about being a camp host. They left around 8pm. We enjoyed there visit.

Memorial Weekend:

We arrived to camp around 2:30pm and got everything set up and organized. The skies were dark and worried it was going to rain. Terry and Jo Ellen arrived around 3:00pm. They parked right next to us and started setting up camp before the rain came. We sat around the camp fire and go caught up and everything. Friday night it started to rain. Saturday morning was still pretty dark. We decided to drive into Wal Mart, Slow Low to pick up a few things. Jo wanted a pie so we went to Trapper's Restaurant in Taylor, AZ. We each bought one. I got a Banana Cream and Jo got Coconut Cream pies. We went back to camp and everyone took a nap. We ate Ribs, Potato Salad, Cole Slaw for dinner and Banana Cream Pie. Sunday we got up and went for a nice ride in the forest. Missed all the rain. Ron started smoking a cross rib roast. Terry turned on the Indianapolis 500 race to watch. Then following the NASCAR race. We ate lunch and appetizer (Jo's famous Artichokes). In the afternoon it started to rain with some hail. Ron and Terry were under there canopy with new sides. For dinner we ate Potato Salad, Cole Slaw, Corn on the Cob and smoked meat. We were all stuffed like little pigs. We decided to pack up both camps so we could leave early. Ron and I went inside to relax. We heard a knot and there stood Terry with a plate filled of Coconut Cream Pie. We finished the night with eating pie.

Monday morning Terry and Jo left camp real early to get home to watch the race that was cancelled due to rain. We left camp soon after them. Ron wanted to stop by in Payson to a RV Show. We walked through several RV. Nothing I could not live without.
