Friday night we meet Lori and Dave at La Fonda Mexican resturant in Camp Verde. We some margaritas and dinner. Driving into our camp we noticed we had beautiful blue light handing up with a white wreath in our tree. The Christmas elves were busy before we got to camp.
We turned on the heaters outside and Rodney made the fires. We had some wine (the black box) and talked. The dogs joined us around the campfire. Everyone was freezing so we decided to go inside. It was 31 degrees when we went inside.
Saturday morning when we got up in was 21 degrees. I looked outside and everything was covered with frost. It was beautiful. The boys camp looked so nice I could not resist taking a video of there camp.
Rodney, Lori and myself drove into town Saturday morning. We found the Gingerbread house shop. They make homemade fudge and gave hugh free samples away. I could not resist buying Ron some fudge for the holidays. The store was filled with cute speciality items. I will go back again.
Rodney made chili for lunch. I made cornbread to go with the chili. I forgot to add the milk so I added in while it was baking. It acutally turned out. Dennis made his famous Margarita's. They were delicious.
Alesha, Chris, Abby and Evan stopped by after playing in the snow in Flagstaff. Evan enjoyed playing with brother boy. Brother boy did not know what to think about a little boy. Abby had a blast going down the hills in the snow.
Ron BBQ a prime rib, Lori made a Ceasar Salad and bread pudding with chocolate sauce, Rodney made rice with beans and colorful broccoli and cauliflower. The meal turned out fantastic. Before we started to eat Lori and I were both taking flip video's. This is a picture of Lori taking a video.
Today, we gave Cheye the three rib bones. She was so happy to get them. When you think of happy you think of Cheye. We had to say our goodbye to Dave and Lori. We are going to meet up with them in California in Feb.
Now we need to finish getting ready for Christmas............
