Great weekend with friends....

We arrived at Pio Pico Thousand Trails park around noon on Thursday 2/5/09. We were greeted by a friendly ranger asked about our drive. Ron said "It was great buy you could make it complete by telling me you have full hook ups."
The ranger informed him. His wish would be granted
and there are full hook ups. Ron was very happy. We found two sites and started to set up. Around the corner came Lori, Dave and Cheyenne. We were all happy to see each other again. We finished setting up came and everyone was hungry. Ron spotted a Filippe's Pizza grotto. The six of us headed off to get the best Pizza in the world. Ron was in seventh heaven eating his pizza.
We drove back to camp and sat outside visiting before the rain started to come down. Rodney started his fire pit and set up his canopy . Nancy and Peter stopped by to say hello and had a glass of wine. The weather started to get to cold. We moved into our coach. We laughed and visited.
It rained all day on Friday we went to WalMart and Trader Joe's in Chula Vista. Chula Vista has really changed and is a real nice community. We noticed all the border patrol around with the helicopter working during the night. We ate some appetizers drank some wine. Nancy and Peter came over for awhile to visit. Ron BBQ some delicious steaks. We all ate some dinner.
Saturday morning Ron and I went up to the Family Center. They were having a trade show going on. We looked at the Wilson boosters so we could get some single for our phone and computer. Then meet up with Dave and Lori. The four of us heading off to Old Town San Diego. We decided to drive the 125 freeway. Guess what it was a toll road. SURPRISE..........While driving into San Diego and it started raining hard. There was four accident within several miles.
We all walked around Old Town. One of the stores we went into was Temecula Olive Oil. They gave us several tastings. We would recommend there olive oil http://www.temeculaoliveoil.com/. After walking around for awhile we decided to stop at Frog's Mexican restaurant. We all had a Margarita and nachos everything was delicious. Headed back to camp and visited with Cheyenne for a while.
We ended of a great weekend with some friends with a bottle of wine from D H Lescombes winery in Denning, New Mexico. http://www.dhlescombes.com/. We enjoyed a Cabernet.
While driving home we even drove through some snow, wind, rain and sunshine. We had a great trip including the rain.
